Giens: a unique peninsula

Double raffle
A fairly rare geological formation in the world connects Giens to the mainland. These two cords of sand and alluvial deposits stretching towards the south enclose the salt pan and the Pesquiers pond which today shelter a remarkable ornithological reserve.
Walk in Giens
The salt route runs along the west tombolo, bordered by Almanarre beach. This path is a place for walking or cycling. The village of Giens offers an extraordinary view of the peninsula, the beaches, the city of Hyères and the islands and the sea.
The coastal path
A succession of islets, coves, beaches and small ports, sometimes emerging behind the branches of large pine trees. To be discovered on foot via several signposted accesses. Depending on the route, the panoramas over Porquerolles follow those over the islets of the peninsula.
